One reason to consider using our digital signage as an advertising medium is the green factor. It doesn’t take a lot of research to see that digital signage is better for the environment. Every event or advertisement shown on one of our screens is like one less piece of paper being used. One could argue that a full 24 hours of advertising comes out to being almost exactly one tree being saved! Besides the loss of trees and the impact on air quality and soil erosion, there is a lot of fossil fuel used, directly or indirectly, to produce paper. Cutting, debarking, chipping, cleaning, pulping, pressing, packaging and transporting all take fuel. Finally the finished products like newspapers, magazines and the like need to be transported to the consumer.

Advio is committed to explore and utilize the greenest options for our products. As a small business it is a difficult prospect. We know digital signage is not perfect, of course, but it is on the right path. With miniaturization of components and internal circuitry getting smaller, the amount of energy it takes to run digital signage will continue to decrease making for a greener planet and a smarter choice for the future.
